Next Tuesday, May 28 is when I'll be upgrading Enterprise Vault for Exchange from 9.0.2 to 10.0.3. Call it the last minute jitters but a few nagging questions have come up.
Our current server set up is pretty basic: Old Server with data connected to a old SAN. We'll be migrating to a new server connected to a new SAN. The drives are mapped the same ( C for OS and application E for Enterprise Vault data).
1. I'm assumming I move the data off the old server's E Drive to the new servers E drive after I run the SSMW on the old server but before I run the SSMW to import on the new server, right?
2. Do you recommend I do the DNS Alias change before I run the SSMW or after I run the SSMW but before importing the settings?
3. Other than reversing all the tasks done prior to running the SSMW and all the recommend post migration tasks, is there anything else I have forgotten?
