New emails deselecting after archiving

Hi,

We are having an issue after upgrading from Office 2003 to Office 2010, to be fair its more of a hindrance than actual issue.

So, the problem we have is if we say select a bunch of emails to archive, we will do this and then click on Store to EV. If we then proceed to select say another bunch of emails by way of click - shift - click, or simply selecting another bunch. Outlook will immediately deselect our email selection.

From what it looks like, is this happening because of a slight delay with EV setting archive marks to the email as we can't figure out why it's doing this. Anyone have this and know of a fix, or is it a feature? Thanks.
