I've recently created a small lab environment comprising of only two servers (both 2008R2) in order to learn the new product EV11.
The first server namely DCEXCH is the Domain Controller with AD & has exchange 2010 SP3 running correctly.
The second server namely SQLEV11 has SQL2012 running on it & configured correctly (so it appears, not experiencing any issues.
This 2nd server is just a member of the AD domain & is not a second DC.
EV11 has not been installed yet on the 2nd server. From the 'Installation & configuration' manual, I believe I have filfulled all of the
prerequisite requirements (hopefully). Obviously I'm now running the "Deployment Scanner' to verify that all is good & set for the
EV11 installation. (Incidently the Administrator on each server being a member of the 'local administrator' group of each, have
different passwords). No sharepoint servers, fileservers or domino servers have been setup at this stage.
However the results show 1 'Exchange Server Permissions' failure & I'm not sure how to correct this or what to do. See below.
The user SQLEV11\Administrator does not have the required permissions (including 'send as' and 'receive as') on the following Mailbox Stores and Public Folder stores on DCEXCH.mek.local: Mailbox Database 1629546428; There are also some concerning 'Warnimg' messages which I also need help with. See below To use the Enterprise Vault Search or Enterprise Vault Search API, you must ensure that the Net.Tcp Listener Adapter service is correctly configured, as described in Installing and Configuring guide. Sometimes other aspects of your Net.Tcp configuration may cause Enterprise Vault Search to fail. If these failures occur, they are reported in the event log and on the System Status page in the Enterprise Vault Administration console. For instructions on how to resolve search failures that are caused by Net.Tcp issues, see the following technical note on the Symantec Support website: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH214690 the tech document doesn't help. Also this warning even though I have already created an 'Outlook Profile' associated with an Exchange Server Mailbox. See below. No Valid Outlook profile was found which suggests Outlook has not been fully configured. You must create a profile and connect to an Exchange Server mailbox before you install Enterprise Vault. Can you please assist me and inform me of what I still need to do or what I've missed or haven't understood before installling EV11. Your cooperation will be appreciated. yours truefully, Mike Kalk |
