I am designing a solution for Exchange 2010 journal archiving for one of my company's client. They have 6000 mailboxes they wish to enable for journaling. As per the Symantec Enterprise Vault sizing estimate we have concluded that the following should be our storage requirement.
Total Vault Store Partition size 16 TB
Total SQL size 300 GB
Total Indexing size 6 GB
Total EV storage 22.3 TB
I will need vault store and Indexing on separate disk drives. Now I want to know how I can allocate the disk space/storage for Vault store and Indexing. I mean that I cannot assign a single partition of 16 TB to vault store and 6 TB to Indexing. Is there any recommendation for this by dividing the allowed storage into multiple vault stores /indexing? If yes, can anyone please provide me with a rough estimate?
