My customer is currently using EV 9 SP2
They allow users to delete from their archives. The retention category is set to allow delete from this category. the Retention Category time period is currently set to "forever".
The option to "Archive Deleted Items" in Outlook is enabled in the advanced properties "List Settings From" Archive General policy.
Their environment is configured so that shortcuts are not created and users access all vaulted items through archive explorer.
When a user deletes an archived item from any of their folders other than the "Deleted items Folder" within Archive Explorer the delete is processed and the archived item\s disappear from their archive explorer view. However, if they try to delete from the deleted items folder it will reappear almost immediately.
The restore deleted items is configured for 21 days.
I wondering if because the deleted items folder actually holds items that are deleted from exchange if that is the reason they are not able to delete items from the deleted items folder within archive explorer.
Can anyone confirm this thinking for me or else give me an idea why this is not possible.
