Hey guys,
is it possible to change the provisioning group of a an active EV user?
What will be the effects when I do this?
We are using Exchange 2007 and EV 9.0 both running on Server 2008 R2.
Here are the two szenarios:
Szenario 1:
User xxx is in the provisioning group "1month" (all mails older than one month are getting archived)
Now I want to put the user in the provisioning group "6month" (all mails older than six month are getting archived)
What would be the nessesary steps to do here? (Change AD group of user - Run Provisioning Task - Run Archiving Task)
Will then all archived mails be copied back from the EV Archive to the Exchange account of the user?
Szenario 2:
User yyy is in the provisioning group "3years" (all mails older than three years are getting archived)
Now I want to put the user in the provisioning group "2years" (all mails older than two years are getting archived)
What would be the nessesary steps to do here? (Change AD group of user - Run Provisioning Task - Run Archiving Task)
Will then the mails from the additional 1 year be archived too?
Or do I have to zap the mailbox of the user, when I change the provisioning group?
But what happens to the archived elements of an active user, when I zap the mailbox?
