We decided to add an additional EV server to one of our customer's
environments
The current configuration is:
one EV server (10.0.4)
7 exchange mailbox archiving tasks (one for each - exchange 2010)
1 vault store group, contains 6 vault stores, with an open partition at each vault store (cifs shares)
sharing level: vault store group
We want the additional server to run all of the ev services, including the Storage and the index service
the procedure is pretty straight forward, except one thing: the vault store configuration
the original idea was to split the vault stores between the servers, but I know that the vault store will be treated by the storage service that was
assigned at the creation on the vault store.
So the question is: how do i change the storage service assigned to the vault store? Is it enough just to change the StorageServiceEntryID in the VaultStoreEntry table of the directory database?
Also, is it even possible / recommended to perform this seperation when the current sharing level is: vault store group?
