searching in archive for an ipaddress fails

Hello all,

I have a user with a big archive (more than 150.000 items in it.). He is a networkadministrator. He mentioned the other day he cannot find items by searching for ip-addresses. Either in AE or Search Safe, a search returns no resuls

I tried, and I can find items (in my own archive). We've tried several combinations:

192.168.2.1 - no returns

192.168.2* - no returns

192.168* - no returns

192 many returns :-)

192.168??????? no returns

I've rebuild his archive's index already, to no effect.

Does anyone know the syntax, and if possible other wildcards I might use to get him to find items.
